Bonfire Night is a known celebration for the Gunpowder plot, Guy Fawkes and his group of English Roman catholics which tried to blow up the The Houses of Parliament and kill King James I to protest against the Protestant Rule on November 5 1605 He was caught and Burnt at the stake!
Some People think that Bonfire Night is wrong Celebrating the death of Guy Fawkes and shouldn’t be Celebrated it’s like celebrating terrorism like 9/11.
But it is actually Celebrated because Guy Fawkes was unsuccessful and didn’t blow up the Houses of Parliament if Guy Fawkes did Succeed the results would have been catastrophic and many innocent people would have been killed.
My Opinion
That Bonfire Night should be Celebrated and shouldn’t Burn effigies of Guy Fawkes because that’s about the burning and death of him and The defeat of the Gun Powder Plot should be remembered.
The Gun Powder Plot Rhyme:
“Remember Remember the 5 of November
the Gunpowder treason and Plot.
I know of No reason for the Gunpowder
Treason to never be Forgot.”

Firstly, I know this is years old, but I still wanted to comment.
Might I ask, what the hell? Guy Fawkes wasn’t burnt at the stake. He was tortured for days and then taken to be hang, drawn and quartered. As they took him up to the gallows, where they were going to hang him until near death, he jumped off and snapped his neck, killing him; this spared him the rest of what would have happened.
Oh, and by the way, James I was a tyrant, so it would have been a good thing had he gotten blown up; obviously not for the innocent people, though.
Another one of the plot tried this same thing, but the rope snapped, thus he experienced the drawing and quartering fully conscious. I forget his name.
